Birdie is wonderful. I practically pray every night that 2021 (or 2022?) could have a series of shows in the UK and Europe where it's a Dolly Mixture reunion with Birdie as the delightful opening act. Also, it should be a publicly announced and well-promoted tour!! Please???

If you already own this album, you know how good it is. If you don't, then I'm probably not the first to tell you it's amazing and you need to buy it. Personally I thought "Stranger in the Alps" was an excellent debut, but it nowhere near prepared me for this - instead of the oft-dreaded sophomore slump, Phoebe has delivered what should be remembered as a defining album of the COVID era.
